Terms of Service

Version 2026-09-24 · effective 2026-09-24

These terms apply to Kievit, the service at kievit.app that collects messages from your email and Slack, and events from your calendars, and turns the ones that need you into tasks (“the Service”). The Service is provided by Sagoskatt Holdings (“we”, “us”). Together with the End-User Licence Agreement they form the agreement between you and us. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

1. Your account

  • Kievit is invite-only. You need an invite to create an account and you must be at least 16 years old.
  • An account is personal. Keep the devices and password manager that hold your passkey secure; you’re responsible for what happens in your account.
  • Give accurate information and keep your email address up to date.

2. Connected accounts

  • When you connect a mail or Slack account you authorise the Service to read it, to post the Slack replies you write in Kievit, and to act on the choices you make (for example marking tasks done when you reply). Mail accounts and calendars are only read: the Service never sends, changes or deletes email or events.
  • Only connect accounts you’re entitled to use. The terms and policies of those providers, and of your employer or Slack workspace, continue to apply to you.
  • You can disconnect an account at any time in Settings.

3. AI features

  • The Service uses AI to read new messages and suggest tasks, titles, summaries and due dates. Suggestions can be wrong or incomplete: always check them. They are not legal, financial or other professional advice.
  • Nothing is done on your behalf without you: suggestions wait for you to confirm them, and Slack replies are only posted when you send them.
  • With your own API key, your use of the AI provider is also governed by your agreement with that provider, and its costs are billed to you by that provider.
  • With Kievit AI, analysis runs on our account and is paid from your prepaid credit (section 4).

4. Kievit AI credit and payments

  • Credit is bought in advance, in euros, with prices including VAT. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.
  • Each analysed message is charged from your credit. Settings → AI shows the estimated price per message and your actual usage. We may change prices for future use with at least 30 days’ notice.
  • Credit does not expire while your account exists, has no cash value and cannot be transferred. Free credit (such as a welcome credit) cannot be refunded.
  • Right of withdrawal. If you’re a consumer you can withdraw from a top-up within 14 days of buying it. We refund the part of that top-up you haven’t used; by using credit you ask us to start providing the service straight away. Write to legal@sagoskatt.nl to withdraw.
  • If you delete your account, remaining credit is lost. If we stop offering Kievit AI or the Service, we refund unused paid credit.

5. Acceptable use

You won’t use the Service to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, or send spam, harassment or malware through replies;
  • access accounts or data you’re not allowed to access;
  • probe, attack, overload or circumvent the security or limits of the Service, or copy it at scale;
  • resell or share access to the Service without our written permission.

6. Your content

Your tasks, notes and messages remain yours. You give us permission to process them only as far as needed to provide the Service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You’re responsible for the replies you send.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and secure but can’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, especially while it’s invite-only. We may improve or change features. If we discontinue the Service we’ll tell you at least 30 days in advance, so you can download your data.

8. Liability

  • The Service helps you keep track of messages; it doesn’t guarantee that every message is found or correctly understood. Keep using your mail, Slack and calendar for anything critical. AI summaries, suggestions and answers in Ask AI can be wrong; check them before you rely on or send them.
  • To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event, or €100 if that is more. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damage such as lost profit or missed deadlines.
  • These limits don’t apply to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, or where the law doesn’t allow them. If you’re a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.

9. Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time from your profile; this ends the agreement. We may suspend or end your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. On ending, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we ask you to accept the new version when you next open Kievit; if you don’t agree, you can delete your account instead.

11. Law and disputes

Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country and may also go to your local court. Please contact us first; most things can be solved by email.
